How do I heal from my tattoo?

Tips and Steps to Take Care of Your Tattoo in the Best Way

  • Remove the film or tattoo pads two hours after the session and begin washing every three hours.
  • The film or tattoo pads should only be re-applied for the first night. (NO CREAM)
  • A proper wash involves washing your hands with neutral/gentle soap, cleaning the tattoo, and gently rubbing away any scabs of blood, ink, and plasma that form on the tattoo with water-soaked wipes (no alcohol/no perfumes) or damp paper towels, in order to allow the skin to dry evenly and clean. (PATTING DOES NOT CLEAN YOUR TATTOO!)
  • NEVER DRY WITH TOWELS OR BATHROBE, even if clean, ONLY use disposable paper towels (Scottex).
  • Wash every 2-3 hours for the first three days, gently rubbing away any scabs, without applying cream.
  • Al terzo giorno noterete che la pelle inizia chiaramente a guarire : visibilmente secca , pelle biancastra e tirante . È il momento di iniziare con la crema.
  • Apply a thin layer of cream to keep your skin hydrated whenever necessary (3-5 times a day). The tattoo must remain visible, NO HEAVY LAYERS OF CREAM. NOTE: DO NOT STOP WASHING YOUR TATTOO once peeling begins. From now on, the tattoo should be washed and moisturized gently. (SKINSHEETS MUST FALL OFF ON THEIR OWN, DO NOT PICK THEM!)
  • Feeling more itching than usual is completely NORMAL.

  • During the healing period, only cotton clothing (at least 70%) should come into contact with the tattoo, and no other fabric. NO TIGHT CLOTHING. Let the tattoo breathe as much as possible.
  • Take care of the tattoo for as long as necessary (3-4 weeks).
  • ABSOLUTELY NO physical activity, sweat, prolonged baths, saunas, pools, beaches, pets, dust, dirt, contact with alcohol-based products/detergents and similar, sun. If you get your tattoo in the summer, replace the healing cream with sunscreen SPF 50 if exposed to the sun.
  • If you notice yellowish scabs or purulent discharge on your tattoo, contact your tattoo artist immediately.
